For additional information, call 248-344-0497. The Art House is located at 215 W. Cady Street and is a facility of the Northville Arts Commission. Admission to Art House shows is always free and open to the public.

The Northville Community Foundation supports
The Have a Heart for Hunger Fundraiser is a significant source of support for the Kids Against Hunger meal-packing event that all of the Northville elementary schools and their partner schools in Detroit and Hamtramck participate in each year.

The statistics are impressive: last year over 1,200 children packaged 120,000 meals. But even more impressive is the impact this project has on our students:

• “ I loved Kids Against Hunger. I thought it was an opportunity to help the world even of we were in 5th grade. Helping kids get food on the table felt good inside. Imagine how much we could help world hunger if every body helped.” (5th grader)
• “I couldn’t believe it. We made 17,000 (bags). My heart was pumping. I feeled that I wanted to shout so loud the world would hear me.” (3rd grader)
• “I liked doing a good deed for people without food. I hope I can come back and do more food packaging…I am glad I got to have this experience and I hope my little brother will too.” (3rd grader).

Maybury Farm is now the home of two baby yak!

Maybury Farm also has “Brownie” the baby llama born at the farm in January. Chicks are getting ready to hatch, lambs and baby goats will soon be arriving. Once spring hits babies begin to be born! We invite everyone to come on out to the Farm to enjoy the babies during Down on the Farm May 5.

Spring hours at Maybury Farm are Tuesday through Sunday from Noon to 4p.m.
Closed Mondays, Easter and Mother's Day. Always weather permitting.
